Hello! My name is Mieke Claes but the name I use as a writer is Emmy. I live in Beringen in Belgium and I'm 15 years old. I'm the author of Power of Love and Life after Love. I have been busy with the last one ever since I saw Titanic. I first wrote the story in Dutch ( although it's still not finished) and I wanted people to read it but none of my friends really understand my love for Titanic so they weren't really the right persons for it. Then I found out about this page and I started to translate the story into English. I wanted to write a story that was realistic so in Life after Love Jack really is dead. But I read so many other great stories wherein Jack did survive I decided to try that one too but my main story is Life after Love. I've been writing since I was 9 years old and my first story was about a Jewish girl in the 2nd World War. A lot of people read that story and they were all very enthusiastic about it so I continued. By now I have about 6 Dutch stories and 2 English ones ( posted here) I've always been interested in history and Titanic was a perfect way to write about that period in time. I love the movie for two reasons : Giving me the chance to write some more stories and bringing me to my second obsession : Celine Dion. I became a fan of hers through Titanic and she has been such a huge part of my writing and her music will be part of my story. Whenever I'm writing, her music is playing on my stereo and Celine has become my muse... I'm a big music lover and I need music to get through the day.
